Episode 11: Pardon Me, But... Is The Prime Minister *Meant* To Be Filled With Gears?

Jacques (probably the XIV or XV, no one is exactly sure) is the Prince of Ha'i'ti! ...Well, *a* prince of Ha'i'ti. Actually there are rather quite a lot of them, as his father is a... busy man. In fact he probably wouldn't even be allowed in the Royal Palace if he weren't one of the few Bokor (whether student *or* master) capable of summoning Everywhere-Rainbow, the Loa of Phlogiston. He tends to make something of a pest of himself, constantly wanting to know how and why various things work (or don't work), which is as you might imagine not terribly appreciated in political circles, so he has been given free reign to go bother the leaders of whichever European nations will open their doors to (extremely) minor nobility. He occasionally discovers useful intelligence by sheer persistent accident.

...Oh, and the answer is that under no circumstance is the Pime Minister meant to be filled with gears; in fact the discovery of such is cause for rather quite a lot of consternation.

MOAR OF THIS STORY, darn it.
...Is the Prime Minister the sort of jerk who orders books bound by the yard to match and fill out his library and make him look impressive?

He was really more likely to order colonies bound by the chain to fill out the Empire and make the Queen look impressive.
